Why does the elasticLearning system need to have your personal details?
elasticLearning needs to store the personal details of people using the online portal. This is to ensure that we can track and report on the progress of your learning and contact you to provide you with updates on your learning journey.
What personal information does the elasticLearning system collect and why?
When you enter the system you will be asked for some personal details about you. This will include your name and your email address.
You will not be able to access the system until you have provided this information.
What does elasticLearning do with personal information it receives?
The information is retained by elasticLearning and, in the case of business customers, may be shared with your employer as raw data and/or in summary statistics. In the case of private individuals your data will not be shared outside of the elasticLearning system.
Who has access to my personal information?
The only people who will have access to your personal information on the elasticLearning system are:
Your company representatives if you have business access
The elasticLearning team
How is my personal information kept safe and secure?
All of the data you submit to this site is secured using HTTPS and held on encrypted volumes within Amazon Web Services’ ISO27001 certified European Data Centres.
How long is my personal information is stored for?
We will keep your information for as long as your employer remains an elasticLearning customer. Once their contracts ends we will remove or de-identify your data within 6 months.
We will keep your information for as long as you remain an elasticLearning user. We will remove or de-identify your data if you do not log in to the service for 18 months..
If you wish to remove your data from the system, please request this by emailing our Data Protection Officer.
How can I complain about the use of my personal information?
If you want to complain about the use of your personal information, you can contact the elasticLearning team’s Data Protection Officer. The contact details are below.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) if you think there is a problem with the way we are handling your information.
